Mortangs are our Morgan - Mustang cross foals.

Each of these horses has either a sire or a dam that is a registered Morgan with the other parent being a mustang or a Curly.

Even though Mortangs are not of a specific registry like Morabs, we feel these horses consistently demonstrate the innate characteristics of both parents and as such coined the name Mortang.

Inheriting the best both parents have to offer, Mortangs invariably have the 'little engine that could' attitude of the Morgan and the stoutheartedness of the mustang. They are go-getters with style and willingness.

SOLD: Turk is a high-stepping high-spirited 2004 gelding. He has loads of try, wants to please and with his curly sire's, Mellow, size and his Morgan dam's, Thea, style he promises to make someone a classy, go-all-day companion. This 2004 colt would be a good sporting or hunter/jumper candidate. Turk trailers, leads behind a four-wheeler, halters and stakes. His sensitivity makes him a pleasure to train and interact with.

HaleBop, a 2010 colt out of Bit-O-Wy Haley by Bit-O-Wy Mellow, did not inherit his sires curls but appears to have inherited his size. A big, bolt colt this boy has changed colors from golden palomino to chocolate palomino to his lighter winter coat. Bop should prove interesting once he is in hand as he is curious but not afraid and would be expected to have an "I can take of myself, thankyou" attitude.
